Vancouver Island Snow day

A significant snow fall on the south island brought schools, businesses and events to a halt today. The worst hit was the Cowichan Valley area. Power outages and road closures are prevalant in the Sooke area. Snow is expected to taper off tonight but with lows to -6 for the south island it is going to be slick and slippery out there and everyone should always be driving with extreme caution, if they are driving at all (I opt to just walk if I have to). If you have any beautiful snow pictures, please feel free to share them with your fellow Vancouver Islanders!
