The Black Goose Inn

This family owned and operated British (with a bit of Scottish thrown in!) pub style restaurant was originally constructed in 1921. Located near Rathtrevor Beach in Parksville, the location couldn't be better and the food is excellent!

The Black Goose Inn offers up traditional, home-cooked meals 7 days a week - as well as 19 beers and ciders on tap! In the warmer months you can enjoy an ocean view and sit at one of the many outside patio tables. In the cooler months you can enjoy a beautiful log fire inside!

Delea and I enjoying a couple Phillips Blue Bucks!
We sat down outside on a warm Sunday, but the clouds quickly came in and it started sprinkling so we made our way inside. Regardless of whether you enjoy your time at the Black Goose Inn inside or outside, the ambience is fantastic and you'll be cozy and happy.

The delicious seafood salad
The service is British pub style so it is counter service, food and drinks are ordered at the bar. The menu offers up some amazing traditional UK meals, including assorted ploughmans, meat and vegetarian pies, bangers and mash and fish & chips. The large menu will please even the pickiest of eaters.

Traditional bangers & mash

I'm a huge fan of the seafood salad ($18.95) romaine lettuce, cucumber and peppers drizzled with a delicious wasabi dressing completed with smoked salmon lox, shrimp and bacon on top.

Banger and mash ($11.95) is a very traditional UK dish you can order at the Black Goose Inn.

There are daily lunch and dinner specials.

They are open at 11:30am daily 7 days a week, they close around 9pm in the winter and 10pm in the summer. There is a children's menu available.
